I went to the sea-side with my mummy and daddy. Daddy did all the heavy lifting and mummy took lots of photos.

I played in the sand and tried to crawl out to sea. I discovered stones and sand and sea-caps. I wanted to eat the sea-cap but daddy wouldn't let me.

I held daddy's hands and walked in the water, which was really cool. I wanted to keep walking and walking because I really liked the water. Daddy kept pulling me back. I can see there's going to be some issues we'll have to work through.

Then I played in the sand some more and got to at least eat some of that, but sand is more fun if you cover your arms and legs with it, and make patterns in it with your hands.
It was lots of fun and I mean to go back. When I do, I'll ditch the parents and crawl out to sea and then come back and eat all the sea-caps I want.

Hi there,
I had been frequenting this but it hadn't changed much and I had forgotten my blogger ID so couldn't type anything in until I bothered to remember it. Very glad to hear that Oxford will be home. Very amused to hear that Greek remains a serious nemesis...
We solved Max's issues with running into the ocean very quickly. When Mummy wasn't looking, Daddy let him go in. The wave promptly bashed him to the shore and we have the lovely side-effect that after 2 years at the beach, only now are we venturing back into the sea...:) I beleive that is quite effective? Mummy doesn't share my enthusiasm...

Heh. Sorry to make your life hard. Got a bit concerned that there were a number of photos of Jonathan on a public blog (despite furtive attempts to have code names, photos do give the game away!) and decided to make sure it was all ok.
Laughed at your beach scenario, but only because Mark has never tried it...
Is Reading still a possibility for you guys?
By the look of how cheeky he is in the fridge, he and Sam will get on well.
Still a possibility, but it won't be until early 2010 if it happens at all. I certainly need a sabbatical, just don't know when I will get one.
